Karen has lived in Hawaii since 1967 and on the Big Island since 1977. Her varied education and experience allowed her to develop an intimate knowledge of the Big Island. Karen is a fantastic agent. I decided to contact her after reading reviews on Zillow, and I'm so glad I did. She helped us in our many-month search of homes in the Kona and Kamuela areas - we wound up with a house in Kamuela that we love. Karen knows a lot about the Big Island, and she is very patient (doing many viewings with us, both in person and remotely), knowledgeable and strategic. She was also appropriately tough when needed to support us in our negotiations, which I appreciated. Karen listened to us and worked together with us to come up with our offer - quite different from some agents I have run across in the past, who seemed to always be pushing the price higher without valuing our input. Most important to me, Karen is kind and funny, and someone I enjoyed working with. And, her associate Kanoelani is equally good, with a great eye for things like termite and water damage, and a lot of patience and kindness. We expect to need help again in the future, and fully plan to return to Karen and Kanoelani. I highly recommend them both.

The experience with Karen was wonderful. One of the only original hesitations from my wife and I buying a home in Hawaii was not knowing where to start. We had made a few suggestions regarding areas we may be interested in, but Karen steered us in a direction for the Kona area that she knew were better suited for what we were looking for. Karen made the entire process seamless, not only while on island, but also while we were reviewing potential properties on-line. Karen was a joy to work with. We were looking for our retirement paradise dream home and had some pretty specific goals in mind. My husband and I each wanted some very specific attributes in our new home. It was not easy to find all the right components at a manageable price so that we would not be house poor in our retirement. Karen took extra time to preview houses we saw online, take videos and spend a lot of time continuing to talk us through the process. Her thorough knowledge of the many diverse neighborhoods was invaluable in guiding us. After putting in the offer the real work began. Karen was with us till the very end with all the myriad of details to close the purchase and in fact continues to be a strong link to the previous owners now that we have taken possession and we have follow up questions. I would highly recommend Karen to help guide you through a real estate transaction.

We found Karen on Zillow by contacting listing agents for houses we were interested in. Karen stood out right away as she was very responsive and helpful, going the extra mile to make a video of the house were contacted her about. She provided a thorough and honest look at the property which we really appreciated. That house wasn’t for us, but Karen did find us exactly what we were looking for in the two days we were on the island! She is a hard worker that gets things done and also has a great personality. She and her team have an excellent work ethic and were with us every step of the way. This was very reassuring to us as our escrow was closing in the middle of the COVID shelter-in-place. Karen is THE BEST!
