Real Estate Agent
Though she was born in Washington state, Varya Shozen spent her childhood and young adult life living abroad, spending time in Japan, Washington, Las Vegas, Montana, Hawaii, Shanghai, and Beijing. Her educational journey was just a varied as she majored in Acting at the Beijing Film Academy, studied Communication at Hawaii Pacific University, and devoted her attention to International Business and Economics at Sophia University. Varya first moved to Hawaii in 2009, and later bought a home in 2016 on the Hamakua coast of the Big Island.
Before her career in real estate, Varya worked as a general Manager for a hotel on the Kujukuri coast in Chiba, Japan.
Varya was excited to start her career in real estate because she excelled at understanding the needs and goals of her clients. Her passion for real estate was initially stoked by her mother’s style and attention to detail, which she has used to further her skills in understanding what her customers look for in a home. Varya loves looking at and envisioning the untapped potential each property has to offer.
In addition to helping her clients find their perfect home, Varya is also motivated to help people smoothly transition to new properties. Whether they are looking to relocate, open a new business, or looking for an investment property, she prides herself on helping Hawaii residents looking to relocate, as well as people who are looking to put down roots in Hawaii. Additionally, her fluency in three different languages (English, Japanese, and Chinese) enables her to connect with people from various backgrounds.
Varya joined Corcoran Pacific Properties in 2020 in hopes to expand her reach in helping people find what they are looking for in the real estate market. As a member of the West Hawaii Association of Realtors, Varya holds a license in Hawaii, and is also in the process of getting her real estate license for the State of Nevada, which she hopes can help her clients search for various types of real estate in Japan, Hawaii, and Las Vegas.
When she isn’t hard at work, Varya is a full-time mother to two beautiful sons, a homemaker, and vacation rental host. She loves to eat good food, spend time with her family, exercise, enjoy the outdoors, contemplate future business plans, and look at beautiful homes. She spends her time between Japan and her second home on the Big Island of Hawaii. Varya loves animals and hopes to one day start a farm and grow various types of fruits and vegetables. Always looking to give back to her community, Varya volunteers her time teaching English to children and adults in Japan.
