We first made an appointment to meet Lester on April 19, 2021, and to have him tell us why we might consider going with him as our realtor. He was very accommodating by coming in the evening to our home, punctual, very personable and knowledgeable, and not aggressive or pushy. He met with us in person (masked of course!) to discuss our options especially since our unit still had renters. He took the time to explain our options since there was still a moratorium on rentals. He came prepared looking up the unit and comparables of other properties in the area. After our initial meeting, we decided to work with Lester to sell our unit. Lester took pictures of our unit and then we discussed further what we were going to do as far as selling the unit with renters in the unit and repairs needing to be completed. The unit hit the market and there were several offers. Lester discussed the offers, made suggestions, listened to our concerns, and then we moved forward. Lester's team also worked so well by getting the information and sending out the contracts to sign. Lester made our total selling experience effortless and he and his team were so efficient. He took that extra step himself to make sure the unit was ready to close as he drove to the unit the afternoon before we closed.

When I decided to sell my father's property, it was a bittersweet decision because of all the small things which led up to my decision. Tenants who abused the property after costly renovations; me going into debt to keep up with repairs and not getting any rent due to COVID. A property which was inherited to me, entrusted to me; to care for, take care of and cherish. Something I tried hard to do; but was unable to. I have known Kim from a hobby we share a love for. I knew she was a thoughtful and kind person, but I had no idea of her level of professionalism, diligence, care, thoughtfulness and amazing acumen throughout my entire sale process. Some examples which come to mind; when the cleaners took away some left behind "rubbish", Kim went back to check and saw some debri left behind. She took it upon herself to sweep up the small areas. A small thing, but noted because it was not necessary. This is an example of being aware of the smallest details and taking it upon herself to make sure the property looked good and was cared for. There are so many examples of her care and thoughtfulness, much more than 6000 words can express here. Every step of the way, she was diligent. Following up on news we got; explaining to me what it meant and suggestions on the best way forward. A simple, small, uncomplicated cash sale; but she made me feel like I was her only client and most important transaction. She was proactive, personable, always accessible and extremely responsive, always checking on me and making sure I understood what was going on. But what mostly stands out to me about Kim, was her "bedside manner" as a Realtor. She truly understands not just Real Estate, but people...and all the emotions that go with the transactions. She cares for her clients in a way that is unexplainable. I can only describe it as a soulful encounter and her sixth sense that is truly a gift from God. When she called to tell me that the house was going to be recorded and the sale was complete, I was delighted but also sad, as it was our family home which is no longer in our family. I sat in my office, closed the door and cried. I then wrote her a email about the guilt I felt, and how I failed to maintain a home my family once beloved. Her response to me, immediate. She said she understood how it was difficult, given the situation I was saddled with; she also said that our memories will be carried with us, not with a location or a building. She pointed out that my father didn't ask me to keep the home or expect that from me. What really hit home for me, was when she said, "Your dad always took care of you, and now that he is not here, the proceeds of the house is the way he is taking care of your family now." If it were not for those words of wisdom, I would have probably carried the guilt of selling my family home forever. It was a huge moment of looking back at my decision to sell and knowing that I was able to make the right choice. Her voice of reason allowed me to look at the entire situation with no guilt. Letting go of a house while still being able to hold on to great memories, love and gratitude. This is what an amazing Realtor is. This was not easy being 5000 miles away, but Lester took on the mantle and contacted vendors and contractors to come out and take care of the issues. He was our eyes and ears in Hawaii. Once again he did this in a timely and professional manner. In fact he did it with so much Aloha that we were truly amazed. His perseverance and help made this truly a successful deal. We could not have done it without him. Lester's communication was top notch - he kept us informed and guided us through the process - his team made sure we did and submitted things in a timely manner. Also, please note that we were dealing with a 5 hour time change between Honolulu and New York City! "My husband and I decided in February 2013 that we wanted to purchase a property on the Big Island and relocate from Oahu. Kevin Walmsley wants your business. After three recent real estate purchases, I can assure you he deserves it. I found Kevin quite by accident late in 2016. I’d seen one of his listings and wished to view it on an upcoming visit to the Big Island. We spoke for a half hour or so a week before my arrival and had a friendly exchange in which Kevin listened to my wants and asked questions to better understand my needs. On my arrival Kevin took me to see the gorgeous house he had listed and to another community he thought I might like. Bridget made our house hunt and buying process smooth and stress free especially, since we live in Virginia. She never tried to sell us a home that’s not fit for our family, she assisted us in our purchase and protected us against making a bad investment. Even though we sold our condo during a seller’s market in a prime location we wanted to leverage a great real estate professional to get the optimum value in a short period of time. My wife and I wanted to explore the possibility of purchasing a second home on Maui. Made contact with an agent through the Elite website. With a few phone calls and emails, the agent was able to set up search criteria that allowed us to identify properties to review when we arrived in Maui for our annual vacation. As the agent began to show us different properties, we were impressed with the agent’s knowledge of the Maui market and patience in listening to us/exchanging ideas. When we decided on a property, the agent worked up the comps and we made a fair offer. The offer was not accepted, but as I write this review, the property still has not sold and the price is dropping closer to what agent felt it was worth. Eventually, we found the perfect place.
